Theories

as to what exactly Tenebria is. According to her tumblr, she will not tell lies, but we aren't going to take her word for it. We're not THAT stupid. We're hardly going to trust someone that tried to do what she did. Even if all she did was make things...uncomfortable between Vivi and I for a while. We can't really...fix, those problems, not instantly- but we can work at them. We'll do our best. "Believe in me that believes in you".

If she can take me as I am, faults, phobias, general idiocy and all, I'm lucky to have her.

(I'm lucky to have you. DON'T. argue with me. I will hit you. --Vivi)

Okay, according to Tenebria she's just a really observant stalker who climbed in our window to hijack our blog tell us we suck. But there's probably more to her than that. She can't have learnt all the things she did just by watching us. So we have a few theories.

Really really really observant and/or has been following us for a long time: Fairly self explanatory. This is the theory she herself says is the truth.

A split personality of one of us: Unlikely but still possible, as we've both seen her standing outside our work. She won't come in, though. There's the possibility that she is a hallucination- but then why can the both of us see her?

(For the record, she's about Vivi's height, Asian, really skinny, and capable of standing very still for long periods of time. She walked off and came back a few times- once with a bottle of water, another time with an umbrella (it was raining) and another time empty-handed.)

A Revenant: We haven't gotten a good look at her but she may well be. Unconfirmed.

A Mind-Reader: Seriously unlikely, but would explain how she knows what she does.

Your guesses are as good as ours...

  1. If she is a mind reader she could be a conduit. I wouldn't knock the idea. Then again you can find out a lot about people just by watching them. I highly doubt she is a hallucination.
She could be a revenant, but you guys would have to get better look at her first, and I don't know if thats a risk worth taking.

  2. A Conduit...that's a possibility. I might have to go back and read Reach's post- there are probably conduits that do choose to side with Where's-his-face. If so, we're in trouble as we don't know the limits of her mind-reading.

  3. Really I was grasping at straws at that point.

Honestly I'm not so sure about all this proxy shit, SlenDERP Seems more the loner kind. Having a bunch of little (as it would likely call them) 'Meat puppet' minions, doesn't make much sense for what he supposedly is.

  4. Well, no matter what they are they're still attacking us in his name and a few of them have changed sides (Reach of What You Are In The Dark and Cheska of Let Us Keep Living immediately come to mind).

I don't know. We don't really understand exactly what Slendy is. He may have some motive for creating proxies- who knows what he wants, really?

  5. I dunno, sometimes I can't help but wonder if someone, or something else, is taking advantage of the real SlenDERP and trying to amass his own sick little cult.

    ReplyDelete
  6. That's no more or less possible than Slenderp in fact just being evil or having a sense of morality incomprehensible to humanity. At this stage, all theories are valid, including ones that sound insane.

  7. If supposedly, as what Mister Strahm says is true, this 'cult' could even be funded by the US government, trying to silence everybody that *knows* about SlenDERP, allowing them to continue to observe without anyone causing trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  8. How does that explain the presence of Slenderstalked in other countries (I know of some in Canada, England, and Australia as well as here in New Zealand) as well as the U.S.?

  9. Well, the obvious reaction would be 'global conspiracy', but I hate the idea of that because it has too many potentials for leaks.

Could just be agents working undercover, matching the M.O. of the cult.

But the thing that I keep thinking of, everything every 'proxie' has said, could be re-created in front of them, technically.

Oh sure, it'd be hard as hell to do it, but the government has essentially endless funds. Even then, drugs can be used to make people incredibly suggestible.

I dunno, maybe I'm in denial...I'd rather imagine SlenDERP as a singular entity rather than having these little minions running around.

  11. It still doesn't make sense in my mind.

SlenDERP supposedly kills people for some unknown reason, for the purposes of this argument, we'll say shits and giggles.

If he is in fact the unexplainable slaughterer of men, women, and children alike. Why would he tolerate 'prey' as minions?

What do his 'minions' get out of this Deal With The Devil? Being a Revenant seems to be a hell of a bad deal.

Yeah, you get the ability to withstand a hell of a lot of punishment, you get a long life, and you have rather amazing capabilities.

The offset however is that for the rest of your life, you will *never* be comfortable. Every single touch due to this Hypersensitive nature of theirs, is painful or itchy. Sitting down? You're in constant pain/itchiness.
    Standing up? Constant pain/Itchiness.
    Wearing clothes? Etc. etc.

As a sufferer of chronic migraines, I can tell you this is not something that you can simply shrug off. The constant pain wears at you, it wears at your emotional and physical well being. I have in the past had several breakdowns solely due to the fact that my life now has an unending pain to it. Sometimes its really bad, sometimes its not. Sometimes its even just this small little tingle in the back of my skull. Not particularly hurting, but always reminding me its there.

Revenants like Kirsten don't seem to be that much stronger psychologically, she seemed terrified and hated everything she was doing.

And that's not talking about the other 'levels' of Slenderpyderpydoo worship.

Sorry for the wall of text.

  12. Watch it with the walls of text, dude, you could kill somebody with those!

I know that for Kristen, the incentive was the lives of her family. Why she was offered such an exchange is unknown. What Slendy wants with a small army of proxies is unclear. I've privately entertained the thought that he is some kind of Emotion Eater- he feeds off despair or some other negative emotion, so he will take the course of action that causes the most despair. Perhaps the reason he kills some victims is to create a kind of ripple effect, inducing more despair in the people who love them.

  13. Its possible, it would also explain why his minions are so intent on targeting your love as a way to break you.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They haven't really made a good stab at actually breaking us apart. They've just taken advantage of the fact that one of us will flip our shit if something happens to the other so far. Who knows what they'll try next?

  15. some very interesting comments

hmm a thin asian girl on stilts

reminds me of rika a little

    but thats profiling

    the thing is

    if she were really harmful

she probably wouldve done whatever it is by now

    odd

  16. We're going to try and keep an eye out. If she tries anything we'll be as prepared as we can be. Meanwhile I am not allowed to open the door for anyone by myself unless a) I know them and b) they are most definitely not a proxy. We are not having a repeat of what happened with Two Face.

  17. That's also a possibility. We haven't seen her wearing a red hoodie, but it's summer over here so it's possible she wasn't wearing one for reasons of practicality. That's another theory to add to the list...

    --Vivi

  18. Probably not, but a theory is a theory is a theory, and the more possibilities we are prepared for the better.

  19. I really hope she's nothing new. Otherwise.... THIS WOULD SUCK. Bluh.

"It... It was supposed to be a healing beam of love!"
"Did it have rocks in it?"
"I think the healing beam of love hadto many rocks in it." (QotD)

  20. I hope she isn't. It would really not be fun and we would probably get our asses whupped in the process of figuring out what she is.
