Fun times (and other horror stories)

Since my last post, I have eaten about half a carton of raspberry chocolate swirl icecream, felt sick and also slightly guilty, both about knocking out the proxy (poor kid) and about the whole half-a-carton of icecream thing,  gone off my food, slept for 12 hours, eaten a gigantic breakfast, and been late to work. Well, late my by standards. I'm usually here same time as Max who always arrives early. I was on time.

I feel kind of numb. We've lost Robert Sagel (mindwiped, Redlight has been monitoring the comments so we can't say anything, and he's getting a new blog.), Nessa of Exit Light, and probably Fizzbomb of Para not-so-normal, and that's only that i know of. Our ranks are dwindling.

Please, please, everyone else stay sane. I'm doing my best, I guess.

Keep calm and carry on. I have that poster on my wall. Whenever I'm stressed, I chant that in my head.

Keep calm and carry on.
Keep calm and carry on.
Keep calm and carry on.
Keep calm and carry on.

Sounds like a goddamn Madness Mantra. I'm not crazy! Not clinically at any rate. I swear, sometimes I think that Slendy is not a real, physical being but some kind of thoughtform memetic virus, making us imagine him to reality.

Someone call the SCP Foundation!

  1. "Keep calm and carry on" is a good one. My favoured inspirational quote is a Terry Pratchett one; "Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness." That or "There isn't a way things should be. There's just what happens, and what we do."

Peppermint Mochas are my go to cure for the blues.

Please don't call the SCP Foundation. We've got enough trouble as it is!

  2. You northernhemispherans have some strange drinks. Peppermint Mochas? Mocha is a type of coffee, isn't it? Peppermint coffee?

I adore Terry Pratchett. Only got into his books a few months back. I've read the Colour Of Magic, Equal Rites, Wyrd Sisters and Pyramids (in that order) and I'm halfway through Mort.

Do they even have a phone number?

  3. Mochas= Hot Chocolate + Coffee. Basically, hot chocolate for people who want to seem adult and coffee for wimps who want to be cool. It's my kind of drink.

He is my favourite human being. If you're into Neil Gaiman as well, I'd recommend "Good Omens".

I think they have a phone number under the guise of a cleaning company. Hmm...

  4. I'm more of a tea or hot chocolate person myself. Don't really like the taste of coffee. The smell is good but it tastes weird.

I've read Good Omens, actually. that was the first thing of his I read. It was fantastic.

    Uh oh? xD

  5. Coffee is something that is not delicious unless you're addicted to it, which I am. I do love tea and hot chocolate though. Coffee ice cream is pretty good for most people, I do believe.

Yeah, it's one of my top five books.

The information paints the cleaning company at the dorm next door in a disturbing new light. 8[

  6. I'm more of a hot chocolate kind of guy myself. Not really into tea or coffee.

  7. @Jean: My dad's addicted to coffee, and coffee chocolate, and coffee icecream. All things coffee really.

    Yeah, Paranoia Fuel much?

@Anon: That would be very interesting if I knew who you were.

  8. Another single-letter name? Jeez. They're all the rage 'round here. A, B, M...if this goes on we'll have an entire alphabet!

In other news this is the 42nd comment of this blog. It's the answer to life!

  9. Well it's not really /F/. That's just a placeholder until I get around to making a blog of my own. *Shrug*

  11. There's already about 3 "J"'s running around. I don't get a single letter name. But I don't think there's a G yet, Genevieve, so you can nab that one.

  12. Nah, I'm fine with Genevieve, Vieve, and all the variations thereof.

Well, I know there's J/ay of Marble Hornets, J/eff of EverymanHYBRID, who's the other one?

  13. Jay of http://anomalousdata.blogspot.com/ went by "J" sometimes.

    Vivi? :3

  14. Yeah, Vivi. And Viv. And various more embarassing nicknames, although it's only Leah who calls me those and only when she's intoxicated.
